Dr. Brianna McKelvie is a pediatrician specializing in intensive care. She did her medical training at Western University in London, her pediatric residency at the IWK Hospital in Halifax and her fellowship training in intensive care at the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario in Ottawa. She then went on to complete an MSc in Quality Improvement and Patient Safety.
She currently works at the Children’s Hospital in London, Ontario where she is a pediatric intensive care physician and the medical director of patient safety for the Children’s Hospital.
With growing disparity in the world, Dr. McKelvie feels passionately that she should be doing what she can to help vulnerable and impoverished populations. She has done global health work in Peru, Uganda, Costa Rica and Trinidad. As well, she is working on a project to improve access to intensive care in Nigeria. She is honoured to be with an amazing team at OBAT Canada.
